2009 upcoming events

Justinians, I hope everyone is doing well. We have a lot of eventscoming up in the next 2-3 months so here is a list.
(1) October 16-19 Festa Italiana @ St. Thomas University. Weare staffing the Beer/Wine booth the Federation has asked that anyonewho wishes to volunteer to fill out a volunteer form. You can canpick up a form at the ICCC, call them at 713-524-4222, or email themat events@HoustonItalianCenter.com to have a form sent to you. Onceyou have the form simply fill it out and then you return the form byfax to the Federation. Then a week before the Festa you will receiveyour arm band in the mail. We need a lot of volunteers for the boothit will be very busy. Please help out the largest Italian-Americangroup in Texas.

(2) RED MASS -- Cardinal DiNardo invites all Catholic Lawyers andyour guest to join your fellow attorneys and judges at the annual RedMass September 16, 2009 6:15pm at Sacred Heart Co-Cathedral, dinnerto follow 7:30pm $75.00 ($10.00 for law students) in Cathedral Center1701 San Jacinto. Please RSVP for dinner by September 9 to Steve Rech713-276-9440. Archbishop Fiorenza is the keynote speaker. If you can't make it to the dinner please consider goingto the Red Mass it is a wonderful tradition and great experience.

Welcome

The Justinian Society of Houston Lawyers is made up of people in the legal profession with an interest in Italian culture and heritage.

We meet at 11:45 a.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month at the spaghetti luncheon put on by the Sacred Heart Society at 816 East Whitney in Houston, Texas.

We have sponsored several Continuing Legal Education programs. We are affiliated with the National Italian American Bar Association and the Federation of Italian-American Organizations of Greater Houston, Inc.
